My Philosophy
Originally from Maryland, Matt moved to Charleston in 1998 to attend College of Charleston; where he graduated with a Bachelors’s degree in Business Administration. He later went and was awarded his Masters in Business Administration from The Citadel. Entering the mortgage industry in 2003 after attending and graduating from the prestigious Xinnix Mortgage Academy.
From the moment Matt started in the mortgage arena, he knew that this was not just a job, but a lifetime career that he would passionately pursue. Matt has been awarded numerous accolades and honors over the years; including annually being amongst the Top 1% of Mortgage Originators in the US, 40 Most Influential Mortgage Professionals Under 40 and the coveted Leukemia & Lymphoma Lowcountry Man of the Year, but the greatest honor he has been granted is trust and opportunity to assist his clients with their mortgage financing. His goal with each valued client is to be their lender for life. This outlook sets him apart and allows him to guide you with your best interests in mind not for just this transaction, but with your goals in mind for down the road.
Matt focuses on residential lending for purchases and refinances for primary, second homes and investment properties. He has a vast knowledge of products and guidelines, making him the right choice to entrust your mortgage financing with.
Matt is an active part of his community through philanthropy and support of local businesses. He resides in James Island, with his wife and two sons and feels blessed to call Charleston home.
